Frequently Asked Questions

When and where is the wedding?

Festivities will begin on Friday, July 31st, so plan to arrive in London by then if you’d like to join us for the welcome events. Our wedding will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 1st, 2026, at Old Sessions House, London, England.

Do I need to renew my passport?

The UK requires your passport to be valid for the duration of your stay. To be safe, we recommend you check your passport expiration date and ensure it will be valid for the summer.

Do I need a visa?

Yes, starting in 2026, most visitors to the UK (including U.S. and Canadian citizens) will need an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) before traveling. You can apply online here.

An ETA lasts for 2 years, so if you have this already, no need to apply again. Please apply in advance of your trip. Don’t worry - we will remind you!

When should I book flights and accommodation?

We recommend booking flights and hotels as early as possible to secure the best rates. Consider staying near Clerkenwell or Central London for easy access to the venue. Please see our accomodation guide here.

What airport should I fly into?

London has several major airports, and they are all accessible to central London.

How do I get around London?

London has excellent public transport (Tube, buses, trains). Taxis and Uber are also widely available. Consider using contactless payment for easy travel. We recommend downloading the City Mapper app for directions in the city.

What should I wear?

The dress code is black tie / formal attire for the ceremony and reception. The evening before is cocktail - and outfits with a British twist are encouraged! Please see our attire guidelines for more details.

Are kids welcome?

We love your little ones, but our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives everyone a chance to relax and enjoy the festivities. If you need childcare recommendations in London, let us know—we’re happy to help.

Can I bring a guest?

If your invitation includes a plus-one, their name will appear on your RSVP details. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out to us before booking travel.

Do you have a registry?

We do not have a traditional registry. Your presence is the greatest gift, but if you’d like to contribute to our honeymoon or future plans, we’ve included options for that on our registry page.

Can we take photos during the ceremony?

We kindly ask that you keep phones and cameras tucked away during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present. Our photographer will capture all the special moments, and we’ll share those with you after the wedding.
